As you settle in, prepare for a culinary journey that showcases meticulously crafted dishes with a focus on high-quality ingredients and impeccable presentation. One standout element of PANGEA is its tasting menu, which has garnered rave reviews from diners. For instance, Luis LL relished the Menu del Día, featuring a sensational aguachile de pulpo, rockot zarandeado, and pavlova. His experience speaks to the kitchen's ability to harmonize bold flavors and delicate presentations without veering into pretentiousness.
Another highlight from the customer experience is the tuna tartare appetizer, praised for its freshness and vibrant taste. The main courses, including the catch of the day and magret de canard, have impressed diners like Juan Madrigal, who noted the harmonious relationships between the elements on the plate. This attention to detail exemplifies the artistry woven into every dish at PANGEA.
Desserts here are not to be overlooked, with options like a surprising mango-coconut interpretation that offers a delightful finish to the meal. Each plate is a visual feast, showcasing the culinary team's innovative spirit and dedication to flavor.
While the food shines brightly, the service has received mixed reviews. Though some patrons noted that the waitstaff could be uneven, those who encountered helpful and attentive service found it enhanced their overall experience. As Amanda Catabay noted, the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate diners' needs, making every visit a memorable occasion.
For those looking to indulge in a remarkable culinary experience, PANGEA stands as an exemplary destination. With its commitment to quality, creativity, and warm hospitality, this restaurant invites you to savor the unique flavors of Mexico and beyond. Whether it's a casual night out or a grand celebration, PANGEA promises to transform your meal into a treasured experience.
“ Food taste was great. Had the Menu del Dia with 3 courses. I chose aguachile de pulpo, rockot zarandeado and pavlova. No regrets. Service below average for a ‘Michelin’ star rated. ”
“ I have nothing but praise for this restaurant! They worked with me through a long lengthy process coordinating a dinner for my company . They did a beautiful, professional, great experience for my team and the managers / staff are so sweet and will accommodate to all needs . I highly recommend this place! Thank you ”
“ Very good food and a well deserved Michelin Star. Impeccable presentation without falling into pretentiousness, and top quality ingredients. We ordered a tuna tartare appetizer and it was a delicious way to start our dinner. We had the catch of the day and a magret de canard, both mains were excellent and everything on the plates had a harmonious relation in between. The restaurant has a simple but good kids' menu without being a junky kids' menu. The dessert, a mango-coconut take on traditional flavours was surprisingly good, it looks a little bit on the weird side but nevertheless good. Service was slow and not consistent, it is probably the only downside of the experience dining at Pangea. The hostess and the first server to greet you were good and attentive but after that, a very uneven service. But overall it was an amazing experience. Will definitely be back. ”
“ Pangea was our 2nd Michelin experience (the 1st being KOLI) in Monterrey. They offer a 10-course prefix menu for 2395 MXN. This was much more of a typical dine-in experience compared to KOLI. However the food presentation was still excellent. While KOLI edges it out in the overall experience, I found the food taste at Pangea to be on par. I actually liked some of the dishes here better such as the hamachi sashimi. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to add a bit more variety to differentiate the 2 dessert courses. During our visit, both were sorbet based. I think the whole experience would have ended on a more memorable note if the 2 items had different textures. ”
“ We really enjoyed this restaurant. Found the flavors to be better than KOLI. Great spot! ”
“ Their Michelin star is well deserved. The courteous and helpful staff were patient with my minimal Spanish skills. The atmosphere is very cool and upscale. The best of course was the food. Everything from the bread and butter to the final desserts were a delightful experience. The aguachile was so flavorful, and the steak and foie gras were cooked to perfection. ”
“ An amazing culinary experience. The tasting menu and wine pairing was absolutely fantastic and well attended to by amazing and helpful staff. We loved our meal! ”
“ The waitstaff was really great and accommodated my needs. I speak English, but there was no language barrier, which was really nice. I thought the food was very nice, especially the dessert, but overpriced. After looking up the restaurant later, I realized it had a Michelin star. I think the food was very good, but not Michelin level good in my opinion. Giving 5 stars for the staff and service level. ”
